Church Management Software Systems

The Importance of CMS Training

Having A Powerful Tool Like The TAC CMS System is Only 1/2 The Battle.  Learning How To Harness It's Power Is The Other 1/2!

You've purchased a new Church Management Software system (CMS).  What an important step you just made.  Good job!

With so much that the CMS offers your church, it's hard to imagine a church without a CMS, but that's another story.  In this article we're discussing something else, but something just as important ... getting proper training!

I can't tell you how often I talk to a church (or even a business) that has purchased a new automation system to streamline their process and increase proficiencies, but refuse to purchase training.  I hear things like, "They said it was easy to use so we shouldn't need any training," or "We'll read their manual if we need help," and so forth.

Let use one of the systems available as example in discussing this topic.  Let me use Church Management Software system TAC (The Automated Church).

If the TAC-CMS is easy to use (and it is), does that mean you don't need training for it?

Absolutely not!

The fact is, it's extremely easy to use.  But let's blunt here ... just like beauty, "easy to use" is in the eyes of the beholder.  And the reality is, unless you're the programmer of a system you're not going to know every little shortcut or facet to the program without someone showing you.  That's software in general!

Bradley Chesnut has been training businesses and individuals on using their automation for the past 20 years.  As he'll tell you, there's always something to learn. A shortcut here, a more efficient way of doing this, and so on.

In addition, when Bradley ran across someone unhappy with their automation, 9 times out of 10 it's because of lack of training ... they just simply didn't know how to effectively use what they have.

The point is, it takes the right system and proper training to gain the full benefit and advantages to the system you purchased.

The best thing you could do after purchasing a new system is get training on it.
